Founder, CEO & Architect

Voxivium PBC

  • Founding: Spent the first year researching and planning a civic-accountability venture, which became Voxivium; incorporated as a Public Benefit Corporation in July 2025.
  • Product: Defined and launched a platform that grades elected officials against each verified voter's own beliefs, using roll-call votes, executive actions, and AI analysis of legislation; shipped on iOS (pending Apple review), Android, and web.
  • Measurement Instrument: Designed the core measurement instrument (20 values beliefs and 128 policy beliefs across 6 categories). When an audit found the first version leaned partisan, I ordered a full rebuild, putting neutrality ahead of schedule.
  • Architecture: Directed architecture for 5 production codebases (~250K lines): Go API and an AI ingestion pipeline utilizing Gemini via GCP, Kotlin Multiplatform client, Next.js politician portal and admin console, and Astro marketing site, all deployed to AWS via Terraform.
  • AI-Assisted Engineering: Designed and ran a governed AI-agent engineering workflow (tiered action authorization, human-applied database migrations, commit-per-feature review leveraging Cursor and Claude), delivering a multi-platform product without a traditional engineering team.
  • Privacy by Design: Designed privacy into the data layer: identity data and belief data live in separate PostgreSQL databases, linked only by pseudonymous IDs and enforced by database roles that can't see each other's data.
  • Google Cloud: Integrated Google Cloud for identity, AI, and event delivery: Firebase Authentication across web and mobile, the Gemini API (including Batch) for bill analysis, and Pub/Sub push with signed-token verification for Google Play billing events. Service accounts use keyless impersonation, with IAM managed in the Google Cloud Console.
  • Security: Commissioned a pre-launch security audit and ran remediation of its high-severity findings.
  • Vendors: Negotiated and integrated vendors for ID verification, voter registration, legislative data, payments, and app-store billing; cut per-user verification cost by ~60% via a vendor switch.
  • Business Model: Designed the politician-side business model: portal features unlock as a district's constituent data reaches statistical credibility, so revenue grows with the value delivered.

Cloud Architecture & Deep Learning Upskilling

  • Google Cloud & LLMs: Engineered a full-stack proof-of-concept on Google Cloud Platform that spun up a Llama vision model engine to process user-submitted image prompts.
  • Cloud Architecture: Earned the AWS Solutions Architect – Associate certification, designing highly available AWS blueprints across VPC, EC2, Auto Scaling, Lambda, and API Gateway.
  • Data Pipeline Engineering: Studied modern data-engineering patterns for high-velocity ingest and analytical query — AWS Glue, Athena, EMR, OpenSearch, and Kinesis.
  • AI & Machine Learning: Completed DeepLearning.AI coursework in neural networks, NLP, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face, with hands-on implementation in Python, NumPy, and Keras.

Warner Bros. Discovery

  • Directed a 7-person technical team of solutions architects and support engineers handling platform health and integration.
  • Owned the partner integration strategy for the HBO Max and Discovery+ merger, delivering seamless authentication for over 400 syndicate partners.
  • Executed the go-to-market production support strategy for the overnight nationwide launch of the new Max application, with zero service interruptions for millions of users.

Technology Advisor

Somadome

  • Architected a data-driven mobile application and Bluetooth hardware integration for a biofeedback meditation device.
  • Designed a flexible, serverless cloud backend that reduced compute costs by 40%.
  • Hired and managed an outsourced development agency, enforcing code quality, database schema design, and QA testing standards.
  • Proposed and prototyped the "SomaGlobe," a handheld biofeedback device that measures heart rate, heart rate variability, and galvanic skin response to give objective evidence of the relaxation response. Modeled the shell in CAD and 3D-printed it, wrote the Arduino firmware, and defined the API for the mobile app.

Comcast NBCUniversal

  • Progressed from Senior Engineer to Director, directing 6 engineering and QA teams (46 members) distributed across 5 time zones.
  • Invented the XRE "Redirector," a critical piece of infrastructure that scaled to handle 150M+ daily connections from 30M devices, remaining in service for over a decade.
  • Co-designed the "Lost and Found" (LNF) feature, drastically simplifying WiFi setup for set-top boxes, resulting in a 74% reduction in related customer service calls and multiple awarded patents.
  • Remained hands-on with system architecture, defining core API specifications, networking protocols, and microservices logic for the Xfinity and RDK platforms — including the XRE protocol, compliance test suites, security provisioning services (Whitebox/SocProvisioning), and the Spark runtime engine.
  • Rebuilt the Compliance Test Suite from manually run, visually checked tests into an autonomous server that ran every test, compared screenshots against expected results, and recorded outcomes in a database. Tied into nightly builds, it made testing 95% faster.
  • Championed engineering excellence, mentoring and promoting multiple engineers to Principal and Distinguished levels.

  • Taught 20+ advanced courses on Java development and on extending the Eclipse IDE, including building custom plugins and automated tooling.
  • Built a data persistence plugin for BEA's Eclipse-based Workshop for WebLogic that let users create SQL statements and data workflows by dragging and dropping tables and fields.
  • At Whirlpool R&D, designed a client/server architecture for Wi-Fi-connected smart appliances to report their status, and built Whirlpool's first consumer BlackBerry apps.

A 148-item instrument (20 values beliefs and 128 policy beliefs) that scores elected officials against each voter. When an audit found partisan lean in the first version, I rebuilt it from scratch rather than ship a biased measure.

Turned a manual test process into an autonomous server that ran each test, compared screenshots against expected results, and recorded outcomes in a database. Testing became 95% faster and ran in every nightly build.

StockAngel — Algorithmic Trading Engine

Go · PostgreSQL · Interactive Brokers API

An intraday trading engine that runs a 15-minute Opening Range Breakout strategy on QQQ, taking long positions in TQQQ or SQQQ in the direction of a confirmed breakout. Specified first as architecture and strategy documents, then built with AI coding agents.

  • Interface-driven architecture: A strategy-agnostic engine drives the event loop and delegates to Go interfaces — MarketDataStream, OrbExecutionBroker, TradeRepository, SignalDetector, and ExitManager. Swapping implementations runs the same strategy code against historical ticks in PostgreSQL for backtests or against Interactive Brokers for paper and live trading, with live orders passing through a dedicated safety layer.
  • Signal detection: Entries require a full candle close beyond the opening range, confirmed by relative volume against a moving average, distance from the QQQ VWAP, overnight gap direction, an ATR-based range filter, and clearance from prior-day and pre-market liquidity levels — all evaluated in exchange time with automatic DST handling.
  • Risk and exits: Range-based stop losses, a hard account-level loss cap, tiered profit targets that move the stop to break-even, a trailing runner (9 EMA on weekdays, VWAP on Fridays), and a time-based hard exit.
  • Strategy-agnostic optimizer: Each component self-describes its tunable parameters and search spaces. The optimizer mutates, normalizes, and validates configurations, replays each trial day by day with fresh component instances, and records return, Sharpe ratio, drawdown, and win rate to PostgreSQL.
